Executive Director

Dr. Harrell Jordan is the Founder and Executive Director of Career Compass Foundation, a faith-based nonprofit organization committed to empowering individuals through education, career development, mentorship, and holistic support. As a registered nurse, nurse educator, and higher education leader, Dr. Jordan has dedicated his career to helping students and professionals overcome barriers to success. He is passionate about expanding access to career readiness, college preparation, workforce development, mental health education, and faith-centered personal growth. Through Career Compass Foundation, he leads initiatives that equip youth, students, and underserved communities with the knowledge, confidence, and resources needed to thrive academically, professionally, and personally. Dr. Jordan is also the author of Faith vs. Fertility: A Black Man's Battle Between Beliefs and Biology, reflecting his commitment to authenticity, resilience, and service. His mission is to help individuals discover purpose, unlock potential, and build brighter futures grounded in faith, hope, and opportunity.

Dr. Chavon Martin is a passionate leader and community advocate. As the Director of Human Resources at Ascend Justice, she is dedicated to supporting employees, fostering positive workplace cultures, and helping teams thrive while advancing the agency’s mission of serving individuals and families in need. Dr. Martin holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and is committed to lifelong learning, leadership development, and creating opportunities for others to grow personally and professionally. She is known for her collaborative approach, thoughtful leadership, and building meaningful relationships across all levels of an organization.Outside of her professional role, Dr. Martin enjoys serving her community through faith-based initiatives, mentorship, and volunteer leadership. She is passionate about empowering others, encouraging future leaders, and making a lasting impact through service. Her work is guided by compassion, integrity, and a genuine desire to help people reach their full potential.

Peter Rizzo

With a background in employee-owned business leadership and years of non-profit experience, Pete is proud to support the vision the Career Compass Foundation and is dedicated to helping the foundation’s mission and growth. He is motivated by his faith and a passion for helping people realize their full potential. A dedicated family man, Pete spends his free time playing with his three young kids and faithfully following Chicago sports. Go Bears!

Vincent White is a dedicated leader, mentor, and educator committed to empowering the next generation. With a passion for youth development, Vincent actively works to create spaces where young people can grow in confidence, character, and purpose. His background in education and coaching allows him to connect with individuals from all walks of life, using both structure and encouragement to help them reach their full potential. Driven by faith and a heart for service, Vincent is deeply invested in building strong communities through mentorship and meaningful relationships. He believes lasting impact comes from consistency, integrity, and leading by example. Whether in the classroom, on the court, or through community initiatives, Vincent strives to inspire growth both personally and collectively. Through his work with this organization, he is committed to equipping youth with the tools, guidance, and support needed to succeed in life.

Kelli Proctor is an attorney, author, minister, and speaker who graduated with honors from DePaul University in 2001 with a degree in History, pre-law concentration. While at DePaul, she was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta and Golden Key and President of DePaul Gospel Choir. From DePaul, Kelli attended Howard University School of Law, graduating as Valedictorian of her class in 2004. Kelli also received an LLM in Family Law from Kent College of Law. Kelli is a licensed attorney in California, Arizona, and Illinois. Since being admitted to the bar, Kelli spent several years working at an international law firm, Reed Smith. Currently, Kelli is Managing Director at Novus Law and an ordained minister at Lifeline Church-Chicago. In 2022, Kelli released the book and companion album, “Help Me Welcome the Storm.”

Dr. Tiffany Reed is an emerging public health leader and scientist committed to uplifting vulnerable communities. With a passion for social justice, youth empowerment, and health equity, she partners directly with communities to conduct participatory research and expand access to essential services. Her work focuses on improving health outcomes and quality of life through nutrition support, housing services, education, economic stability, social support, and preventive care; with the goal of building healthier, more equitable communities.
